People who are obese are sick all on their own.
Why do people get fat?
Obesity is one of the biggest problems in the world that is made up of people who work. Whether young or old, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, and arthritis are all caused by it. Obesity is when too much weight (fat) on the body.
How much weight is deemed to be too much?
Someone with a BMI of more than 30 is considered obese. Your body mass index is how much you weigh divided by the square of your height or how much you weigh divided by your height squared. The formula for figuring out your body mass index can be found at the end of this article.
People get fat because of something.
Your weight is based on how many calories you eat and how many calories you burn. People gain weight if they eat more calories than they burn. The extra calories are stored as fat by the body. You can lose weight if you eat fewer calories than you burn. Overeating and not exercising are the two most common causes of obesity.
Simple as it looks, it isn’t
Weight gain or loss isn’t that easy! As we try to figure out why we get fat, the subject gets more complicated. Obesity research would not have cost us billions of dollars if it were that easy. Many things can make someone gain weight (or loss). Many things happen because of genetics or heredity, and these things are significant.
Genetics.
In this case, if one or both parents are overweight, the child is more likely to be overweight. Genetics also plays a role in how hormones that regulate fat work. The hormone leptin, for example, is one of the things that makes people fat. The hormone leptin is made by the placenta and the fat cells (adipocytes). When the body stores are too much fat in the fat cells, they release leptin into the bloodstream. This tells the brain to eat less, which stops weight gain or obesity. A problem with this leptin signaling pathway means that either not enough leptin is made or leptin doesn’t work well at telling the brain to eat less. This leads to obesity. Leptin replacement therapy could be one way to treat obesity in the future.
Overeating.
A lot of people gain weight because they overeat. People who eat a lot of fat or simple sugars tend to gain more weight. Because the high fat, high sugar diet has a lot of calories in a small amount of food, this is why. Many epidemiological studies have shown that people who eat a lot of fat and sugar will get fat.
A diet that is very high in simple sugar.
Simple sugars raise blood glucose levels, which in turn cause the pancreas to produce insulin, which causes fat to be stored in fat cells, causing weight gain. (in fact, weight gain!) A glycemic index is a number that shows how quickly sugars like table sugar, glucose, and fructose are absorbed into the bloodstream when they are added to food. Complex carbohydrates like bread, brown rice, grains, and vegetables take longer to get into the bloodstream. To avoid hyperglycemia, our bodies need to quickly get rid of more sugar in our blood to prevent it. Insulin is used to do this, and it does it Consequently, more simple sugars in the diet lead to a faster rise in blood glucose and more insulin production. This leads to more glucose being stored as fat in the body’s fat cells, which leads to weight gain.
Frequency of having food. Eat more often, and you’ll be able to lose weight!
Sugary food makes it easier for glucose to get into the body. The same thing happens if you eat a lot of food. When blood sugar levels rise quickly, insulin levels also rise quickly, which causes extra blood sugar to be turned into fat and stored in the fat cells. Instead, if the serving size is smaller and the number of times you eat is more often, the total calories you eat each day are reduced without feeling hungry. This has been proven in a lot of studies. People who eat small amounts of food more often have stable blood sugar and stable insulin levels. They also have lower blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
